The Rocking Horse

Have you ever happened upon a place in life where you realized all your hard work and fighting was getting you nowhere. I believe it paints the perfect picture of what Albert Einstein once described as insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I must admit, I am a very stubborn young woman, if Mr. Einstein were here today I believe he would classify me as insane. I tend to prefer the term "determined" instead.

I've been thinking a lot lately- yes, that usually gets me in trouble but o well. Maybe it's time to try something new, what makes a book is not the cover, it's the twist and turn with each chapter break. Maybe it's time for a new chapter break. So many people keep telling me, "just keep doing this, keep doing that"... I must admit, a year into this and no change, it's seeming a bit pointless. Alfred A. Montapert once said "Do not confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress." Maybe what everyone keeps telling you is the answer to your situation or problem, isn't really at all. Maybe it's something totally different, something you didn't expect at all. Hear me out, so many times we listen to what everyone else is saying instead of what our own heart is telling us. We end up doing what pleases that person rather than fixing our problem. DONT DO THAT! This has been my biggest problem all along.

Today I encourage you to try something new. Tune out the world and everyone else's opinions and just focus in on what you really need. It may surprise you... or it may not, maybe you've known all along what you really need to do. Here are some honest thoughts for you:

1. I listen to way too many people, I need to listen to myself and do what I know I really need to do.

2. My rocking horse has seen its last day, it's time to fix what's been broken too long.

3. I have the best friends anyone could ask for... I just thought you should know that one hahaha.
