Paying it Forward.... I never thought starting this blog would create so many opportunities for me. Sure some of them were presented to me before starting the blog, but most of them, my eyes were not opened to until I began writing. "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." (Winston Churchill) The truth is that a person can become so negative until they see nothing good in anything or anyone, I know this because I was and some days still am that person!
Over the past year I looked at my difficulty as this big road block set to knock me out with no detour signs telling me where to go. That was until a really great friend showed me just how negative I was, not by criticizing me but by giving me a compliment sandwich... that's a positive thing...a negative thing and another positive thing. If you criticize someone all they will ever do is shut you out, but if you take time and build them up you can help them believe anything about themselves.
Today I encourage you to try the following:
-Rid yourself of negative people in your life! (I was once told the best mirror is that of an old friend. That is because you turn into the people that you surround yourself with!!)
- Think only positive thoughts! (It can be done, it's all a mind game)
- Try to see the good in something bad! (I promise it is there if you look hard enough!)
- Be positive, it's contagious!
